"At about 45 degrees off, on either side, the display contrast drops off. Not a lot but it is easy to notice. Otherwise, this HDTV works very well. It's full HD (720p), not upconverted to fit a 19" computer monitor screen, so the image is nicer. "Regardless of the channel tuned to, the picture came on very dark. The picture would lighten up somewhat after five minutes or more. When I attempted to improve the picture using the menu features, the result was a hazy picture with untrue color. I returned the set to ABT. They asked me to try a similar Sharp. "I used this TV in my small dining room. Picture was good (bright and clear; good color) but the sound level was too low for comfit. Had to return the set, to my regret, despite every effort made to overcome its audio shortcoming. "
