"Im a professional photographer who bought this drive for a 6 week location job in Africa. I shot over 80 gigs. I used both Compact flash cards and San disk. The drive does Download fast! Previewing Raw Images are slow. Building thumbnails for a 4 gig card took about 45mins!!!

"The unit very quickly downloads raw data from compact flash cards. You can see the pictures from a Canon 40D with no problem. Plenty of space for pictures from long trips. Learning the menu is somewhat complex, but the owner's manual is clear. "
