"Owners need to read the manual which address proper settings, able to record pay TV broadcasts and protocol for copyright recording allowances by provider. This Unit also has flex media recording for the various blanks + plus R/RW and -Minus discs. Keep in mind the lower the speed (rate) 8X 4 X and 2 X discs are going to perform far better than 16 X discs. Not that it can't handle these. The Manual also a..." Read Full Review »

"This is a nice DVD recorder, and has many nice features but the 3 downsides to this machine is that the synch of your VHS tape and DVD will have serious delays in lip synch. The other disappointments are no built in fan which causes a short life for this machine and there is no S-Video inputs so you have less clear images. "We can now transfer our old vcr tapes to dvd now. As it seems before much longer vcr's will be obsolete. It is a very user friendly product.
