"First time I built my on P.c. needed a sound card. I accidnetly got the wrong one (board was DDR2). Was disappointed because the price was right. Instead I placed it in an open pci slot it worked great. NO complaints!!! "

"NO SPDIF output. How does this get 8 channels? You are right, it doesn't.
Some one messed up with description. Don't get duped if you want 7.1 channel. An optical or coaxial output is necessary for 8 channels.
Add 10 bucks and buy some thing with SPDIF connection.
