"Like many Ryobi users, I have been waiting for a radio/boom box from Ryobi for quite some time. The radio works quite well for my situation. I needed something small and compact (portable) that I could carry with me on my maintenace jobs. I didn't want to lug around the larger boom box offerings from Milwaukee or Bosch. "To be sure, Ryobi's combo-boxing of this radio with other One+ tools is a great incentive to pick one up. At the same time, its performance leaves a lot to be desired. While I didn't expect it to have the sound quality of, say, Logitech's portable iPod speakers, the Ryobi has the acoustic responsiveness of your average clock-radio: with practically no low-end bass, the unit is all treble and midrange.
