"Nice, no frills product, that is compact and a good value because it comes with 8 "AAA" batteries. Folded up, the charger and included batteries can fit in a coffee cup, so can be taken with you on trips for your portable electronics. Not Happy with this

"I had the Radio Shack Recharge Batteries in the charger and one of the batteries exploded. If this charger is suppose to go to Trickle, then the battery should never explode. Could possibly be a battery. Nonetheless, I am not happy about either. If it hadn't exploded and just sit in the charger getting hot, it might have caught on fire instead. I would not recommend this. "The included AA and AAA charger is very good. Will charge both NiCd and NiMH. The AAA batteries in kit are below average quality...after 20 charges and 6 months they lost more than half their power. "
