They all have so many buttons to push, within 10 seconds, while searching for codes that it makes it not so convenient to replace other remotes. "This remote is easy to prgram, and thank goodness for that as it loses its programming all the time. Anytime it is dropped or "thunked" it loses its programming. Bought this for [$] to replace the failed sattelite remote that was 4 years old. Had to call the sattelite company to get one of their remotes to replace this one. "I just bought this yesterday to replace a broken dish network satellite remote. I had it set-up in less than 10 minutes. I set it up to control my TV, DVD player, Dish Network Satellite Receiver, and Audio Receiver. It was easy to set-up and easy to use. I absolutely love it!! "
