"I'm leary of many of these learning remotes (have 3 others sitting around). They all have so many buttons to push, within 10 seconds, while searching for codes that it makes it not so convenient to replace other remotes. This one is no exception, but I would say that it learned the other romotes quickly and without trouble. I'm shocked that the manul didn't include codes for Onkyo receivers, a major brand, no..." "This remote is easy to prgram, and thank goodness for that as it loses its programming all the time. Anytime it is dropped or "thunked" it loses its programming. Bought this for [$] to replace the failed sattelite remote that was 4 years old. Had to call the sattelite company to get one of their remotes to replace this one.
