"This is a 1 ma DC meter movement with an external 15Kohm precision resistor and dial calibrations for 0-15V. The information provided says the internal resistance is 85 ohm, so I used one as intended and, by making a shunt from 26 ga wire, use another as a 0-15A ammeter. "

"Works great in a variety of 12V aplications. I have one istalled to monitor the back-up battery for my customised car alarm system. The meter display tells me if the 12V sealed lead acid battery is holding a charge. This has helped imensly when upgrading and servicing the alarm system.
