"Using this antenna with an older 40 channel and it works fine. Have crystal clear reception with weatherband.Just the other day I hit just about 7 miles(wasnt the clearest but range i think isnt bad). I use this on my pickup and it does look awkward on the roof. "I have owned this antenna for a a few years and have struggled with it the entire time. The first thing that started to happen was the plastic that keeps your paint safe started peeling off.
