"I use this adapter to power DTV converter box. Voltage rating on "the Box" is 5v. I couldn't give a 5 star rating because there isn't a 5v position. We get a 4.5v or a 6v. I have used the 6v position without blowing up "the Box." So far so good... John, Tyler, TX "
