"I bought this antenna when my Pro 97 began to have reception problems which I thought may have been related to the stock duck. While the problems turned out to be a loose connector inside the radio, once it was fixed I began to use this antenna and I can say it works very well! Worked well until it fell apart

"I used this antenna to increase my pick up range and listen to the nearby airports. It definitely increased range and picked up signals better, but from the first time I connected it to my scanner it was not tight-fitting and the electro-magnet section would rattle.
