"I recommend this speaker to anybody; I have had this speaker for approximately 3 years. It has been the best one out of all the others radio shack offers. I use this speaker for a police scanner and sometimes transmissions come in low to where if you had a regular speaker without being amplified, you would probably have a hard time listening to what they were transmitting. "This speaker failed to remain under power. Power light would come on for about 10-20 seconds and then fade away. Returned it and powered replacement speaker directly off my truck battery in the RS parking lot. Replacement speaker did the same thing! RS store refunded my purchase price.
