"These LED's are good for illuminating Computer cases, UV Pens ETC. Almost any small project But if you are needing 20+ it can get pricey. I plan on building a LED Strip Black Light. "Picture is incorrect. This LED is a 2 prong, clear acrylic, LED versus the 3 prong that is pictured. I was looking for an LED that would display purple light and this did the trick fantastically. "I used a model number 276-014 LED to convert a standard LED flashlight (single LED, triple AAA cell) into a portable black light. The results were less than stellar.
The wavelength of the UV spectrum ranges from 10 to 400 nm, while these LEDs have an advertised wavelength range of 395 to 410 nm.
