People who have issues with cordless phones usually have appliances, particularly refrigerators which are on all the time, between the handset and the base unit. "I agree with previous reviews about the clarity and range. If I leave the room the conversation goes choppy and no one can hear me, most calls sound like I am in a tin trash can or tunnel, my cell phone is clearer than this phone.
