People who have issues with cordless phones usually have appliances, particularly refrigerators which are on all the time, between the handset and the base unit. "I agree with previous reviews about the clarity and range. If I leave the room the conversation goes choppy and no one can hear me, most calls sound like I am in a tin trash can or tunnel, my cell phone is clearer than this phone. "Better than expected. Two story house, no problems anywhere. Even works from a yard swing 75 feet away in the back yard. Manual could be clearer and better organized... Link to PDF on line would be nice too; Manuals get lost. "
