"Had to run an amateur radio in a township building last night for an emergency drill. Couldn't run the speaker of the radio high enough to compete with the "in-room chatter". Flew down to very-nearby RS. All store had was "real" phones or "earbuds", which I REALLY don't like. Asked for "old-fashioned" ear plug? Yes! We have it! Got one of these. Worked "fine". Did not work for me

"I was very disappointed in this earpiece. The volume was about half that of the previous simple earbud that I had for several years and is no longer available. Additionally, when the volume was turned to max, the level of distortion compounded the problem. On the good side, it was quite comfortable and stayed put well. I will be returning it tomorrow...."
