"Had same voltage problems and more. 15.7 volts and only .15 for amps output. Far from the 1000ma. Check every other Shack adapter, and found same problems. Scary, VERY SCARY! "

"Failed (i.e. no output) for no apparent reason. Circuit contains a transformer and full wave rectifier - no voltage regulator apparent. Very poor design for a "12 volt, 1 amp" supply. (Edited by moderator) "
