"I used these for for a guitar effect pedal.
Inserting a jack into these is very rough and requires force. After 20 uses, the ring contact bent backwards and the jack stopped working. I replaced it with a Switchcraft jack purchased from a guitar store which works perfectly.

"I've used radio shack jacks in guitar effects pedals and to replace faulty jacks in guitars. They have always seemed to be very high quality and quality jacks are important. "
