"At almost twice the capacity of Energizers D-Cells (4500mAh vs 2500mAh), These are the better buy. They will still run out of juice before alkaline batteries (the disposable kind), since alkalines have a 10,000+ mAh rating. But, these are re-usable! "If you wanted rechargeables for your sirius boombox, you are buying the wrong kind. There are similarily priced ones on the internet for maybe a few dollars more with a monster capacity of maybe 10000mah+. Just be certain to get the right charger/1A-2A hr charging current. "I see a number of reviewers comment that these batteries only last 1/2 as long as standard batteries.
That is to be expected. They are 4500mAh batteries. Most traditional alkaline batteries are around 10,000mAh+.

"I bought 16 of these and use them in two bumper boats in my pool for the grand kids. Tomorrow I'm going to buy 8 more for a third bumper boat.
They last for many hours powering the boats and the powered water gun on each boat. They were used for 7 months last year and already for 1 week this year.
