"I got this camera on sale for [$] to be a backup camera for other digital camera. It's pretty good for a [$] digital camera, but don't expect it to replace other more expensive cameras. "I bought this for my wife and for the price I feel it was a steel. Not a professional camrera, but for basic use it's awesome. Make sure you get rechargable batteries and a charger because normal batteries won't last long. Also a 4gb sd memory card and you can take pictures for days (a lot). Enjoy
