Nickel Cadmium batteries should be discharged as much as possible before recharging them, and once the chargeing is started, it should be uninterrupted. "First Battery lasted less than 11 months. Second Battery lasted 2 months. Phone only used for short calls and was kept on charge. Very poor quality battery charger inside the phone. Not a good quality telephone and should be discontinued. "
