"You get a lot for your dollar with this receiver. I've always been a fan of Pioneer. Great sound, multi-zone control, ipod/iphone integration. Overall, it meets my needs and then some. A few nits: - This receiver has so many inputs, but I'm only using 3 or 4 of them. "Poor bass with a subwoofer,FM receiver cuts out brouhgt it back 4 times before finding out that it has a very cheap digital tuner.This is a piece of gabage.Traded it for a Yamaha - 525W 5.1-Ch. "I have CDs that present orchestras first recorded on 78, but no matter what I play the sound from this Pioneer product is outstanding. I have a DVD and VCR connected and both the sound and video are exceptional. This is great for the perfectionist who wants great sound and video. "

"The speaker calibration was easy to set up, once I figured out how to get the onscreen display to work. Apperently, the receiver setup menu doesn't work with HDMI so you have to hook up an additional out to the TV. Also, I couldn't get the sound to work on my TV through the HDMI cable.
