"My AVIC-Z2 installer said this product didn't work very well. I'm glad I didn't pay attention. This worked perfectly. The only issue is when the sun is rising/setting and right behind you. If it is reflecting on the head unit the remote doesn't register. "

"I got one for AVIC-Z1, worked like nothing else. Then I used it for my AVIC-D3, works there too. Just that bluetooth won't function via this remote on the D3. Everything else works with no hesitation. I love it for what it does with both the units. "

"its nice to have a remote but when your sterring wheel turns fast as your hand slides around the wheel and the remote catches your hand it hurts

so not very ideal "
