The DVR-X152 20x External USB 2.0 DVD Burner with LightScribe from Pioneer is an external burner that supports 8.5GB dual layer DVD burning and LightScribe printing. The drive can also burn CD-R/RW discs. It features a USB 2.0 interface, allowing you to use it with almost any modern computer. The drive burns DVD±R discs at 20x speed, allowing you to write a full DVD in under five minutes. You can write 8.5GB dual layer discs at 8x, DVD+RW at 8x, DVD-RW at 6x, and DVD-RAM at 12x speed. The drive will also write standard CD-R discs at up to 40x speed. The drive includes the Nero Essential 8 software for Windows, allowing you to get started burning discs right out of the box. These features and more make the drive an excellent solution for your DVD and CD burning needs.

Failed burner

"This product installed easily, and works simply. I had it for 2 weeks and burned about a dozen DVD discs, with a random output disc errors now and then. Double Layer Speeds Failed

"The normal DVD copy is working fine and quiet. Double Layer disc copy failed (8X/6X/4X speed), error and incomplete. Wasted my 3 double layer discs(TDK).

Conclusion: This DVD writer fails on double layer disc copy. "
