"First, this is upgradeable you just need to down load an ISO file burn to cd and insert it to player-Done. Secondly, it does decode all codecs and formats with the latest firmware upgrade which is currently 1.25a. Easy to set up, plugged in HDMI to Player then to Denon 3808 then plugged in power. "The player is heavy and built tough. The DTS-HD Master Audio does not work, supposed to after future update, A big disappointment for now. Will bitstream to receiver that decodes but only in 5.1. The player freezes on some movies and has very slow load times compared to other Blu-Ray players. standard DVDs do not look as good as my regular dvd player.
