Great system, beginners beware...

"I used this to transfer video from an old Sony analog camcorder. The hardware worked perfectly, as did the software as far as the transfer goes. However, while I do think the software is quality with lots of options and tools it isn't very beginner-user friendly. I would not recommend this product

"I have compared the Pinnacle to EyeTV for Mac, for converting an analog signal to digital for projection and screen/audio capture. The Mac works well but the software takes a long time to render. I used the Pinnacle hardware with Windows Movie Maker and Camtasia. This combination works well but the Pinnacle interface frequently causes the PC to freeze; thus this combination cannot be used.
