"The bad part:A refurbished product should have all bugs worked out. This one didn't. The disc holder would not open right from the start, so I never had a chance to use it.[...] I got a quick replacement player.The best part:Not only does it play so many formats of CD's and provides a beautiful picture on my HDTV, but I am able to easily play slide-shows of my pics from a flash drive by plugging it in to the USB..." "When they work these are great players, allowing the viewing of both DVD's and of material off a USB card. I would be wary about buying these reconditioned units. I already had several others (non-reconditioned) and thought I'd take advantage of this to obtain two more for the last two TV's in my house which don't have a device with USB input.[...] One seems to work but the other was dead on arrival. "It had been advertised as a multi region DVD. Turns out they make it for all regions, but usable only in that region(1 for USA)! Couldn't play my European DVDs on it...
Still, picture is very good; older DVDs are enhanced through the 1080 upconverting.
