"Received the player as promised on time. The display didn't work at all. We had to contact Philips and got a replacement from them with excellent customer service. Philips updated my warranty record after my 3rd calls which should be done by Overstock.com when I purchased the player. The player from the Overstock.com showed signs of obvious extended used. "Bought this for our bedroom just in case I wanted to watch a movie in bed. Also needed a VCR for some school classes that had VHS tapes (wierd). Works well, little noisy for when rewinding and stop/play is also loud. But it will work for the price and need I planned for. "

"This unit fail right after the 30 day warranty. It was not contstructed well (plastic casing) and the VCR portion started jamming tapes. It may be ok if children have no access to it and it is only handled carefully by adults. "
