"I haven't tried any over the air or timer recording yet, but unit does a great job at transferring vhs to disk - controls aren't particularly intuitive for me - after a week of use I still keep the manual in front of me - but hard to beat the unit for the price..." Read Full Review »

"Easy to install and easy to program, but with some confusing issues. If you set a daily program set to record to VCR you cannot access the VCR side of the unit without turning the timer record function off. Also the unit will record DVDs that can only be used on the unit not other players unless you use Sony,Maxell or Phillips DVD+R disk, the owners manual give a list of tested brands...."
