"Not sure the spacers were necesary for the bumpout on my Westinghouse 40". After mounting, it appeared there was just enough space between the wall and TV to accommodate the bumpout without the spacers. Be sure to level the bracket attached to the wall while mounting it and be sure you have located the center of the stud. "This product will NOT fit most 46" TVs. Get the larger 650. The brackets that mount to the back of the tv are only about 8 inches long. I checked on the Peerless site for compatability and it said it would fit my 46" Sharp Aquos. Not true. The hole spacing on this tv is 15.75".
