Constructed of birch ply with carpet covering, the SP(R) 5 is ready for just about any road gig. "Ihave had my sp5's for a few year's they are heavier than the new cabinet's but the sound that they produce i would'nt trade them for anything. I have not used any other loud speaker but peavey since 1983. "
