"I must have bought a lemon when I bought this tripod. I purchased this to use with a Sony a-350 DSLR and a JVC GZ-HD7 Camcorder. Everything worked fine for about six months. I was taking photos at night and I turned the crank to raise the Sony a-350 and the plastic crank snaped off in my hand. Two months later I was adjusting the center post knob and it stripped.
