"Bought as an upgrade from the LUMIX DMC-FX07. Does a better job controlling noise than this earlier model. Resolution somewhat better also. On the downside, this newer model is slightly larger and has more scene options than one would really ever need to use. "

"No question, this is a great camera to take anywhere, anytime. Astounding results from such a compact thing. Awfully close to my Canon 5D. The huge pixel count allows for some digital zoom; I use it to extend the range to about 28-200 with good image quality. "
