"I USE IT WHENEVER THE LENS IS SET AT MAXIMUM WIDTH.

IT MAKES THE CAMERA MORE STABLE WHEN HAND HELD.

I WOULD NOT USE IT WHEN THE CAMERA IS ON A TRIPOD.
