"You have to wonder about the engineer behind this phone. In this day and ages its the only multi-phone system that doesn't have an automatic privacy feature. What this means is that anyone with another handset will get in on your conversation, unless you first scroll through your menus to activate "Privacy On" for every single phone call. "Not a good package. We were not told the base station had a connected phone - not portable. One of the phones rings continually with no breaks and continues when the call is answered from another phone. The rings and reception are not up to previous Panasonic phones we purchased from J&R "
