"After having many difficulties getting the MP3 player built into my Lowrance iWay 500C to deliver decent sound (which is a GPS unit I do NOT recommend for its MP3 capability or its navigation software if you're a commercial driver)I bought an iPod photo (4G) w/ 60GB hard drive and this cable. "I purchased this cable to use with a Panasonic MXE CQ-C7203U CD player with MP3/WMA playback head unit and a new ipod. Imagine my surprise that the newest iPods aren't supported! Older ipods connect just fine, but when you attach a 5G nothing happens at all. "Having the iPod connected to my stereo is very handy. I just leave it in the glove box, the iPod turns off after the stereo turns off and turns on when the stereo turns on.
