Blu-ray discs can store 25GB (single layer) or 50GB (dual layer) on a single sided disc -- about 5 to 10 times the capacity of a DVD. Blu-ray discs also support the highest quality HD video available in the industry (up to 1920 x 1080 at 40 Mbit/sec) for full 1080p, when used with HDMI connectivity.

Freezes like it's in the Arctic

"I purchased one of these from Amazon, but was experiencing random freezing in Blu-ray discs. The disc would simply stop playing for approximately 10 seconds, and then resume as if there was no problem. I tried to replay over spots where I encountered the freeze, but was never able to duplicate it. After my 4th movie that froze, I returned the unit to Amazon and got a replacement.
