"I have spend the last week trying to find a way to get my Panasonic AG-DV2500E to work with Windows Vista. I have talk with Panasonic Denmark and they told me that the DV2500E have to be send to Germany for firmware upgrade before it will work. Another way is to install Windows XP on another partition on your Vista PC and use XP when you want to capture video. I have installed Win XP viritual PC on my Vista and ..." Read Full Review »

"We bought the DV2500 a couple of years ago and did only a couple of short films whereby we needed it to simply play the tapes and dupe on DVDs for the rushes. It kept saying Head Cleaning Required although we played less then 15 tapes and when the heads were cleaned it didn't play the sound. Then we had it repaired for 400. and it lasted 1 month and now we can't finish our film. We own all kinds of equipment an..." Read Full Review »

"I've had this for a little over two years and think it was apretty smart investment, my only complaint is that itdoesn't have component connections, but that's gettingpretty nitpicky.
Problems Encountered: As far as Vista compatibility, I found out the hard way myversion of the DV2500 doesn't work.
