Over 900 Lines with 480Hz Sub-field Drive
Even subtle movements are clear and easy to judge. Self-illuminating plasma displays feature high moving picture resolution, so there are no more frustrating afterimages in fast-action scenes. You enjoy smooth, clear motion in sports scenes, like Olympic competition and in the action scenes of movies.

Digital Optimizer
A digital noise detection circuit detects the areas and amounts of noise in each scene and then applies the optimal noise reduction to combat it. All types of images come through noise-free.

Motion Pattern Noise Reduction
This function detects motion patterns that tend to generate noise and makes adjustments to maximize image quality. Even scenes with a variety of motion images are crystal-clear.

High Contrast 1,000,000:1 [Native 30,000:1]
Every image is richly expressive, from bright scenes, like scorching desert landscapes, to dark cave scenes. Contrast is enhanced by the new Real Black Drive system (a pre-discharge control system) and a higher base luminance from improvements made to the panel production process. The high contrast creates deep, robust blacks and faithfully reproduces scenes with a delicate balance of light and shadow.

Deep Color (HDMI V.1.3) is an image enhancing technology supported by HDMI 1.3. Its outstanding color gradation exceeds the capability of current 8-bit/color systems.

TV broken within minutes of first use...

"I was very excited to get this TV. When I finally did, I powered it up and within 3 minutes it died and would not turn back on. Panasonic's customer service is horrible, and when they finally set up a service call, I was told that 3 seperate components are damaged and will take 2 more weeks to get parts.
