"My wife hated our ancient wireless phones. They were huge, had antennas, were heavy and didn't have a built-in answering machine. One of them had a noisy signal. These new Panasonics are great. They are small, very comfortable against the ear, don't have antennas, the base unit is tiny and houses a good-quality answering machine. Very Disappointed

"We used to own a Sony 900Mhz DSS phone. It was awesome. We could take it anywhere in the house and anywhere outside. The "jog dial" made the menu a breeze to use. The phone would blink anytime there was a new call that we did not answer. I should mention that this was a stand alone phone. We used a separate answering machine.
