"I see a lot of complaints here about this cable. I bought one for my Pre, and it works just fine.. with apps open and closed. I really like how it's a 2 piece design, which basically gives you an emergency USB data cable so you can connect it to your computer.

"To those that say it doesn't work with the Pre, you must have got a defective charger. Mine works fine, and even supplies the 1a required to run a touchstone which I have mounted in my SUV. I can be on a call with the Pre on the touchstone, running gps and it charges about 1% a minute.
