Onkyo TX-SR876 delivers quality

"I have upgraded my A/V receivers many times. Most of the time I have stuck with the older more established names sich as Denon and Pioneer. When I upgraded this time I chose the Onkyo TX-876 becuase it was one of the few receivers to offer 4 HDMI inputs and two HDMI outputs in the price range. I wished to use the receiver to output to my 72" Mitsubishi DLP television as well as to my Sharp XV-Z20000 projection..." Read Full Review »

Too much for too little

"All the reviews I read on this receiver rated it top of the line. I hooked it up to my brand new Klispch Icon speakers with 10 gauge wire...and was totally under whelmed. There is barely any discernable difference between listening modes. Two of the four HDMI inputs do not work. I have heard receivers costing have the price that sounded better...." Read Full Review »

"I just received my Onkyo TX-SR876B and I am very happy with it. However I would like to give more praise to JR.com then Onkyo. I had purchased a TX-NR605 from JR and had a problem with it turning off whenever it felt like. Onkyo Tech Support was unable to solve the problem and said I needed to ship …"  Read Full Review »

"I wanted an upconverting receiver for my Pioneer 5010FD plasma. I am very used to the Onkyo setups (if you have an older or different model the setup is basically the same so I found it to be very intuitive). Everything works very well for me with the exception of 2 items. 1) for some reason the …"  Read Full Review »

"This item is a great bargain. The power in the amps, quality of DACs, sheer number of audio modes, Good Audessey implementation, THX Ultra 2 certification, just too many superlatives to name.
