"I have a 5.1 surround sound system with polk speakers. It sounds great in our small open living room. I'm no audiophile, but I love the choices I made for speakers and this receiver. The only cons are that the system runs warm. I keep my entertainment center open to be safe. I may eventually install fans to blow out the warm air. "Nice looking and sounding unit. easy to set-up, and has everything I'd need for regular stereo use, and for home theatre. The Audyssey system make's it simple to get the sound balance regardless of speaker placement or room shape.

"Good quality. Be aware however only HDMI inputs are sent via HDMI out, other types of inputs cannot be outputted through the HDMI out port. "
