"This is the second Onkyo receiver I have purchased (first one was 8 years ago), and Onkyo seems to have kept their build quality high. Originally I purchased a Yamaha due to a great price but was severely disappionted at the quality - it made a "pop" sound in my Klipsch speakers when initially powered on due to either improper DC grounding in the unit or a faulty capacitor(s) not absorbing the current properly...."
