"I bought the Onkyo TX8222 receiver for a medium priced sysstem with two stereo speakers, turntable, CD changer, and tape deck. Much of the listening would be classical, so I wanted clean sound. "I bought this unit to replace a vintage amp that quit working. This new receiver has all the features i wanted and upon inspection i believe it is sturdy and will last many years. I am slighlty dissappointed in the sound quality wich seems to lack some umph and isnt quite as crisp as my vintage amp was. but I am not willing to spend more money on a high end model.
