This powerful super-telephoto zoom lens has a large-aperture (fixed F stop type) and is is equivalent to 180-500mm focal lenth on a 35mm camera. Only fixed focal super-telephoto lens could have provided wide-open f/2.8 shots in the past, however, this lens provides f/2.8 shots through the entire zoom range making it a best choice for the nature and sports photographer. Three ED lenses are used to give the highest image quality with optimal resolution and contrast.

"I USED IT ON AN OLYMPUS STAGE IN BERGAMO (PADANIA). IT'S UNBELIVABLE. A BIT HEAVY BUT INCREDIBLY SHARP FOR A 180-500MM (135MM). GOOD SATURATION AND BALANCE. FAST FOCUS EVEN IN LOW LIGHT (WITH E3) AND IN VERTICAL POSITION

I REALLY COULDN'T FIND SOMETHING BAD EXCEPT FOR THE WEIGHT. "
