"The 50mm f/2.0 lens is an excellent prime lens. DOF is as advertised. The depth of field takes getting used to because it is so much more powerful than the 18-180mm lens. For a great portrait lens, and a fantastic macro shot of spring flowers, this lens can't be beat! "
