"I purchased this lens with high expectations, but after using it for less than 4 months the zoom ring gradually began tightening up on me while in the middle of a wedding ceremony. Once at the reception site, the zoom ring jammed completely. As I tried to adjust it the ring it then loosened up, and now it rotates freely but doesn't actually do anything at all. "I first tried this lens back in February while doing some astrophotography. Man oh man can this lens pick up stralight! Daytime use is no joke as well. I took some great shots of flying birds on a very cloudy day at the beach. Excellent lens, and looks cool as well ^_^

"This is the second Tamron lens I've purchase, the first I've had to send back for warranty. It stopped zooming. BEWARE! if you have any issues, even under warranty, tamron will NOT honor your warrenty. They will find reasons to charge you for repairs. "

"This is one SHARP lens. I've also used a Canon 24-70 L and I can say Tamron can easily stand next to it, if not even beats the L in terms of sharpness.
