"If you don't have a DS or if you have the original DS then I would recommend this for you but if you have a DS lite then I wouldn't be so sure. The DSi is the same game system, it just has some updated features. You can connect to the internet and buy online games just for the DSi, but we don't know how good those games are going to be. "There is already a better version of the DSi being released next year with a bigger screen. This should be considered before a purchase for the holidays. The DSi itself isn't enough of an improvement over the DSlite. Plus the loss of the GBA slot you can't play Guitar Hero or help complete the pokedex in diamond, pearl, or platinum by sending pokemon from the GBA games to the new games.
