Almost Perfect!

"I just got this yesterday from the local Wolf Camera and I have to say that this cable does what it is made for and is exactly what Nikon claims. Works flawlessly on my Nikon D40 and SB-600. The only thing I wish it had was a "hotshoe like" connector on the bottom of the flash side of the cable, so that I could use the flash stand that came with the SB-600.. Looks like I'll have to get a small tripod. Other than..." Read Full Review »

Unrealiable after 1st failure!

"I purchase about two SB-28 units per year. They are extremely reliable until first failure, and then become sporatic and unrealiable. Plastic housing for female ISO is weak-link. I shoot 40-50 events per year. Plastic housing splits after 20 or so events(2000-2500)shots. I always carry a spare and now consider this limited life in my pricing...." Read Full Review »

"Compared to "knock-off" cords, this one is pricey, but the quality far exceeds the others. The only downside is that it does not have a hot shoe foot built into the end that accepts the flash (for use with brackets, etc). It does have a 1/4-20 female thread and the Manfrotto metal shoe adapter recom …"  Read Full Review »

"Perfect for getting the speedlight off-center for macro lighting, without the need for using the built-in flash for command (and defeating the purpose of getting the flash off the camera in the first place). Compact, inexpensive, and works great. Get the 1 to 3 meter cord for wide-angle shots. "

"It's built well, it stretches quite a ways, it does what it's supposed to. The only thing it needs is a metal foot on the flash end to go with the screw mount. This would allow for a little more flexibility in attaching the flash end to flash brackets or other supports. "
