Lots to learn

"I am still learning how to use the product. There are so many variables introduced when using this lens. When you combine the higher speed (f2.8) with VR normal and active, and manual focus, plus all of the modes of the camera you have one heck of a lot of options, many of which are not good. For example, when shooting indoor sports you need the lens opened up as wide as possible, but that means that your depth o..." great, but could be better in QC

"I have owned and tried 4 samples of that lens in the past 4 years. And I have to say that 3 of them had some sharpness border problems, the last one shows a strong "backfocus" at 200mm ! About the border sharpness problem : most people won't even notice it... But, if like me, you're going make some precise tests with the Nikon D2X, lenses on a heavy tripod, focus at infinity ...shooting wide open (at 2.8) a f..." Read Full Review »

"I've always been the type of person who believes that you get what you pay for, and let me say that with the Nikon 70-200mm F/2.8 lens, it is absolutely true. I spent about 6 months researching and reading every little piece of information about this particular lens before I spent money on it, and a …"  Read Full Review »

The photo I am posting along with the review serves only to illustrate how adept this lens is at tracking and focusing on fast subjects. This is a 1 …"  Read Full Review »

"Let me just say that I do love this lens. I have owned other fine lenses in this focal range from several other makers, and this one by far is the best. Looks fantastic, rugged as I've ever seen, sharp, fast, love the rotating tripod mount. I shoot nature, portraits, and special events, and the VR w …"  Read Full Review »
